Padua Franciscan is proud to announce The Howley Foundation awarded five scholarships to students in the Class of 2025. The Howley Scholars Program offers awards that total $22,500 for each student ($4,500 scholarships renewable for all four years of high school at Padua) and will help ensure that these families have the necessary financial resources to receive a premier, Franciscan, college preparatory education. Padua offers our unique MedTrack and MyTrack programs, along with emerging technologies that set our academics apart from other area schools.

“We are truly grateful for the generosity of the Howley Foundation,” reflected Principal Bob DiRocco. “Their commitment to students in financial need ensures access to a premier, Franciscan education where young men and women can live within a community where all are challenged to achieve academic excellence and to live out a lifelong commitment to Christ in Holiness and Learning.”

As aligned with our Franciscan traditions, the Howley family believes that a high-quality education combining strong academics and character formation are vital to becoming a productive, self-sustaining individual. Their focus is to make sure that a lack of opportunity or resources does not stand in the way of that pursuit for young people.  The Howley Foundation’s financial support will significantly assist young men and women with high school tuition while becoming college ready during their time at Padua Franciscan.

“The Howley Foundation is proud to support our first cohort of scholars at Padua Franciscan High School,” said PJ Reindel, executive director of The Howley Foundation. “We congratulate these students for their academic success and extracurricular involvement which were key considerations for the Howley Scholarship. We believe that Padua provides the right mix of academic rigor and character formation The Howley Foundation looks for in education partners. We look forward to the success of these scholars and this emerging partnership.”

Each Howley Scholar will need to maintain a (minimum) 3.0 grade point average, participate in and meaningfully contribute to extracurricular activities, and maintain good standing with Padua.
