NMC Partners with the Howley Foundation Through a $400K Grant

Originally published on the NativityMiguel Coalition website

The NativityMiguel Coalition is excited to announce that the Howley Foundation is partnering with us to expand our capacity by adding a Program Director and strengthening our Graduate Support resources. By awarding a $400,000 grant over the next three years, the Howley Foundation is committed to increasing the Coalition’s impact on its member schools and communities.

This partnership will enhance our mission of supporting member schools to provide access to quality education for all students, regardless of their circumstances. In addition, growing the Coalition’s leadership team will be instrumental to realizing the strategic priorities in our 2021-2023 strategic plan.

The grant will allow us to hire a full-time Program Director to help lead the NMC and continue to provide critical support to our member schools. The focus of the Program Director will be to assist the Executive Director in managing current program offerings and help develop new ones. The grant award will also help update our Graduate Support resources, which will be shared among all member schools once completed.

The Howley Foundation believes that the best way to create social and economic mobility and improve lives is to provide quality educational opportunities. Their basic principles are:

·      A high-quality education combines strong academics and character formation.

·      A high-quality program has clear and verifiable effectiveness measures.

We are grateful to the Howley Foundation for its support and commitment to our organization. This partnership will significantly impact the lives of students, alums, staff, and families of the NMC. We are honored to be able to continue our work with their support.
